What is 4 Dimensional Living?
It is aligning ourselves with a way of life that is triumphal in nature. In fact, it involves a new nature. Life in our three-dimensional frame of reference is confining. Indeed we are imprisoned in a subjective syndrome. The only way out is up!
We appreciate the rich fullness of music recorded in three dimensional stereo in contrast to monophonic. The same is true of a picture that portrays depth perception. You have a sense you are "there" in the music hall or in that beautiful garden spot. The Fourth Dimension adds height perception to our sensibilities. It is like ascending from the valley to the mountain top where we view the valley and the garden in panorama. With a pair of binoculars we can view the garden closeup. The scene in the valley was beautiful. The perception from the mountain top is awesome! Even so, our perception is still confined to the realm of the third dimension. The unveiling in the Fourth Dimension is glorious.
The only place we learn about this Fourth Dimension is in the one book that never goes out of date. The Bible reveals the height dimension in addition to depth, length and breadth:
Canst thou by searching find out God?
Canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection?
It is high as heaven, what canst thou do?
Deeper than hell, what canst thou know?
The measure thereof is longer than the earth
And broader than the sea. - Job 11:7-9
These four dimensions are listed again in reverse order in the New Testament:
That ye...may be able to comprenend...what is the breadth, length, depth and height. -Ephesians 3:17,18-
The Apostle Paul, the writer of the Ephesian letter was apparently alluding to this Old Testament passage. The contexts of both include God as the determinant. Apart from Him we live in a flat world intellectually. Our thinking is on a horizontal, bidirectional plane. It is subjective in nature. But with the God factor included we see everything, not just in a broader, but in full-orbed perspective.
EXAMINATION
The difference between the 4D concept and the 3D is ably expressed by the terms objective versus subjective. You will therefore find them used interchangeably on this site. For example, concerned parents aim to be objective with their children who are initially subjective in their understanding.
Our life in the three dimensional realm is unavoidably subjective in nature. It is environmental and horizontal in scope. We are enmeshed in a whirlpool of subjective living, looking at life and the world around us from our perspective, our point of view, our frame of reference. We live in the "Me" generation. 4D Living on the other hand is looking at circumstances from a credible source above and beyond our own limited perception, to the vertical rising above us. In other words, we begin with God, outside ourselves rather than within or around ourselves. This is what we mean by "4D," the added Fourth Dimension.
EXPLORATION
Amazingly, there is an answer to all your questions, a solution to all your problems! One answer! One solution! It’s as simple as that. The answer is from a single SOURCE, from none other than God Himself! According to his Word it all depends upon whom we believe. Jesus himself said,
"...all things are possible to him who believes" (Mark 9:23b).
The wonder of it all is, not that Jesus has the answer, he is the answer. We find this to be true as we learn to view all things from his perspective. When God called upon Moses to lead his people out of Egypt Moses felt he needed to know his unique name to distinguish him from the false gods of Egypt. God's response was, "I AM" (Exodus 3:14).
In his commentary on Exodus C. H. MacIntosh shares this anonymous quote:
When God would teach mankind His name
He calls Himself the great "I AM,"
And leaves a blank--believers may
Supply those things for which they pray.
Jesus Christ himself said:
I AM The Bread of Life (John 6:48)
I AM The Light of the World (John 8:12; 9:5)
I AM The Door (John 10:7,9)
I AM The Good Shepherd (John 10:11,14)
I AM The Resurrection and The Life (John 11:25)
I AM The Way, The Truth and The Life (John 14:6)
I AM The True Vine (John 15:1,5)
Jesus also sounded the warning,
“...if you believe not that I AM he* you shall die in your sins. –John 8:24
*The pronoun is not a part of the original Greek text.
The way out of our subjective dilemma is knowledge of the vertical Fourth Dimension. The key to this knowledge is the discovery of the missing link described under Objective Reasoning
